Community Engagement Postdoctoral Scholar
UC Davis
The UC Davis Office of Public Scholarship and Engagement (PSE) is seeking applications for a Community Engagement Postdoctoral Scholar to join its talented team beginning July 1, 2023. PSE is looking for someone whose research and scholarship focuses on institutional and community impact.

The Postdoctoral Scholar will be able to design and implement independent research projects to further their own scholarship as well as collaborate on co-authored articles that contribute to the scholarship of community engagement in higher education. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the research and development of a collective impact framework across UC Davis’ community engagement ecosystem that includes academic integration, community partnerships, and anchor institution efforts. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate and committed to advancing community engagement in higher education, has a record of publishing in this area, and is completing or holds a doctoral degree.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Contribute participatory action and translational research to the real-time development of a collective impact framework that includes tracking, assessing and evaluating activities that connect the university with broader communities.
Research and develop systematic methods for collecting community partner data that incorporates community knowledge and expertise.
Develop self-assessment protocols of UC Davis’ community engagement activities, including contributing to the application for Carnegie Elective Classification in Community Engagement.
Research best practices on institutions of higher education that track and monitor key metrics for community engagement.

Executive Director, York Corridor Business Improvement District Mngt Authority (Baltimore)
York Corridor Business Improvement District Management Authority
The York Corridor Business Improvement District is a community advocacy and improvement organization intended to provide services that ensure a clean, green, and vibrant Corridor. The organization is seeking an inaugural Executive Director to lead economic and community development along the Corridor, and to design and execute core programming including cleaning/greening, advocacy efforts, and business promotion/support. The Executive Director will be hired by and report to the BID Board of Directors.

Job Responsibilities
* In conjunction with the BID Board, develop and implement an annual budget and strategic priorities for the Corridor
* Facilitate the development and implementation of district-wide initiatives and policies to further York Corridor BID’s priorities
* Serve as the primary point of contact for the BID
* Manage all finances in accordance with budget priorities and coordinate with City entities
* Hire, train, and manage staff as needed to meet BID goals, or establish contractual relationship for staffing, in accordance with the needs of the Corridor
* Develop a system for tracking and reporting progress
* Build and maintain strong and productive relationships with business and property owners.
* Develop resources, including fundraising and obtaining grants.
* Provide oversight of BID marketing and communications.

The salary is commensurate with experience, with an expected salary max of up to $86,000. The BID board is partnering with Loyola University Maryland in executing the hiring process Executive Director will be eligible for Loyola University Maryland benefits for their first year.
