We are looking to welcome a full- time (with partnership track available) or part-time BC/BE pediatrician to our team. We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to join our inpatient pediatric team. This role focuses on providing high-quality care to hospitalized children in the inpatient and step-down unit, working closely with Pediatric residents from a fully accredited 18-resident Pediatric training program.
Key Responsibilities:
Inpatient Care: Manage Pediatric patients admitted to the hospital, including those requiring step-down level care.
Resident Supervision & Education: Guide and oversee Pediatric residents, including clinical teaching and bedside instruction.
Admissions & Rounds: Conduct daily rounds, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure comprehensive patient care.
Team Collaboration: Work with specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide coordinated, evidence-based care.
Academic Role: Serve as faculty at Mercer University School of Medicine, participating in teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development.
Quality & Safety Initiatives: Engage in hospital-based quality improvement and patient safety efforts.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree with board certification (or eligibility) in Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in Georgia.
Commitment to resident education, evidence-based medicine, and teamwork.
