The Program Manager reports to the Director of Innovation in the Office of the Provost, throu... gh the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs. The Program Manager oversees all aspects of student engagement on campus, including student recruitment, strategy, and program development. The Program Manager will also play a critical role in the strategic growth of human-centered design and innovation at UNE and will be part of a team identifying how to establish a culture of innovation, using design thinking to pilot programs and strategies.
Required Qualifications:
-An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. -Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including an ability to develop new programs and strategic plans. -Familiarity with innovation methodologies such as design thinking, lean startup and/or agile development. -Experience with prototyping and developing creative solutions to complex problems. -Experience working with and leading students at the university level. -Experience developing innovative student-centered projects at the college level. -Willingness to learn new technologies and skills. -Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with ability to interact with diverse internal and external constituents, including both students and VIPs. -Familiarity with or willingness to learn the tools and equipment of the Makerspace, including laser cutters, 3D printers, woodworking machines and other prototyping tools.
