The Program Outreach Intern will play a key role in outreach to schools, police departments, and town alliances. Alumni in Recovery (AinR™) presents at schools and community organ... izations across Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Rockland Counties, etc. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Designated supervisor will provide various scripts to utilize.
Responsibilities:
• Must be knowledgeable and well versed of AinR™ mission, goals and programs (materials will be provided upon internship acceptance)
• Manage researching and outreach aims with community organizations
• Utilize Google Business tools for emails, spreadsheets, and administrative tasks
• Track program activity and maintain organized records of events and contacts
• Assist with creating promotional materials and email newsletters (optional)
Qualifications:
• Current college or high school students (Preferred fields of study: Communications, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Graphic Design, or related)
• Knowledge of Bergen County, NJ, and surrounding areas preferred
• Proficient in Google Drive, Google Business tools, social media platforms, and GoDaddy website management
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and with others; Meet deadlines

Role Overview:
As a 501(c) it is important to maintain a steady flow of monetary contributions. The Fundraising Outreach Agent Intern will play a key role in outreach to local businesses, and corporate foundations communicating sponsorship and donor opportunities. Must be willing to research opportunities for funding, inclusive of government, congressional offices funding opportunities within NJ and NY, focusing on Bergen, Sussex, Warren Passaic, Essex, and Rockland Counties. This position requires strong initiative, organizational and communication skills independently; must report directly to directors on a minimal of a monthly basis.
Responsibilities:
• Must be knowledgeable of AinR™ mission, goals and programs; and become familiar with AinR™ terminology for prospective funding applications.

Peer Support Specialist
Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care
RUBHC is seeking a Peer Support Specialist III for the Telephone Recovery Support (TRS) Program within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.

TRS is a peer-driven recov... ery support program that provides regular, phone-based check-ins to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. The Peer Support Specialist III engages participants in person-centered and culturally responsive services, offering peer support, encouragement, and connections to addiction treatment and recovery resources.

This role involves building rapport with individuals in recovery, sharing lived experiences, and helping them navigate barriers to sustained wellness. The specialist provides recovery-focused support, referrals, and follow-ups over the phone, ensuring that participants receive appropriate guidance throughout their journey.

Minimum Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least three (3) years of experience in social services, healthcare, substance use, or mental health.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in peer recovery support with lived experience.
Peer Recovery Specialist Certification or willingness to obtain certification within six (6) months.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of recovery principles and peer support.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in computer documentation and office functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree preferred.
Experience in supportive counseling and referral services.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide recovery-oriented peer support over the phone.
Engage participants through strength-based conversations and encouragement.
Maintain knowledge of community resources and referrals.
Document interactions accurately and uphold TRS program values.
