The University of Texas Permian Basin’s Department of Psychology welcomes applications for a Licensed Psychologist at the rank of Associate or Full Professor of Clinical Psychology. The successful candidate is expected to hold a Ph.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology. This hire will be part of an effort to expand mental health and behavioral science in the Permian Basin. We offer a competitive salary and relocation expenses. The anticipated start date is August 2024. Review will occur on a rolling basis.
This position will include practicum supervision and graduate courses such as intellectual and personality assessment, and psychopathology. The faculty member will teach three courses in the spring and fall semester (18 credits per year), and a willingness to teach online is desired. We are pleased to invite applications for our one-year postdoctoral fellowship program designed to facilitate advanced competencies in Pediatric/Clinical Child Psychology. Our program offers specialized training structured according to one of five tracks: 1) Autism Spectrum Disorder/Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, 2) Obsessive Compulsive & Anxiety Disorders, 3) Pediatric Primary Care/(Clinical Elective), 4) Pediatric Psychology, and 5) Preschool. We are offering 7 positions for our 2024-2025 fellowship class, which will begin on September 3, 2024.
The mission of the Pediatric/Clinical Child Psychology Fellowship program is to advance the profession of psychology and maximize child health outcomes through exemplary postdoctoral training that launches the independent careers of psychologists who are effectively prepared to balance and integrate clinical practice, research, teaching, and other professional activities within their subspecialty field. Training is based in the Psychology Service of Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH), which is the largest children’s hospital in the United States and the primary teaching center for Baylor College of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics. Houston is a vibrant, diverse city that offers rich patient care experiences, along with numerous cultural and recreational activities appealing to a wide range of interests.
Throughout the year, fellows spend time in activities related to clinical service provision, research/scholarship, and didactics/professional development.
