Full stack Engineer
Reverb.com
We build primarily in Ruby/Rails, Python, Go and React, but we value identifying the right language/framework for the job. We believe in fast development cycles, clean architecture, test driven code, fast specs, and continuous deployment.

Everyone at Reverb takes creative initiative, helps set their own priorities, and comes up with new ways to grow the business. Our software engineers take pride in crafting great software but take even more pride in product ownership, taking ideas from concept to release and beyond. Not sure what it's like to work here? Check this out: https://product.reverb.com

Here are the qualities we look for in our potential hires:
Product ownership – we are not just software engineers and designers. At Reverb, you’ll be expected to track the performance of features you release, fix bugs, and understand your impact on the business.
Self-motivation - taking initiative to just get things done. Have an idea? Make a pitch and have your idea turned into reality.

Responsibilities:
Building the Reverb core Rails app and refactoring existing code to higher quality standards.
Developing public facing and internal JSON APIs (we use Grape and Go to build these).
Having a deep understanding of your chosen languages and frameworks, enough to understand and make tradeoffs.
Participating in pairing sessions, code reviews, and researching things independently.
Being more than an engineer - a product owner who wants to interact with customers, break down large problems, help set your own priorities, and follow up on the performance of your features to know how they impact customers directly.

iOS Developer
Reverb.com
We work primarily in Swift. We sweat the details, spending time polishing a critical feature to delight our users. But we are a lean team and always try to leverage the right tool for the job. That sometimes means leaning on older Objective-C code or using a webview. We believe in fast development cycles, readable code, testing, and automation.

• Product ownership – we are not just software engineers and designers. At Reverb, you’ll be expected to track the performance of features you release, talk to customers, and help figure out next steps to grow the business.
• Self-motivation – taking initiative to just get things done. Have an idea? Find someone else to help you make it a reality rather than waiting for work to be assigned.

About iOS @ Reverb:
• Our team is lean, we’re 5 mobile engineers between iOS/Android and a PM.
• Our app is native, 75/25 split between Swift and Objective-C.
• We use a combination of REST and GraphQL for networking.
• Continuous Integration with Unit and UI Testing and Fastlane integration.
• Mobile at Reverb drives about 50% of revenue.

Responsibilities:
• Enhance and maintain the Reverb iOS app - writing, debugging and testing Swift and (an ever shrinking amount of) Objective-C code.
• Work with the product team to implement their vision while providing feedback and ownership of the feature.
• Embrace and extend patterns and processes employed by mobile through pairing and active participation in review.
• Learn the Reverb platform and advocate on behalf of users.

Engineering Manager
Reverb.com
The Engineers at Reverb take creative initiative, help set their own priorities, and come up with new ways to grow the business. Our team members take pride in crafting great software, but take even more pride in product ownership and beyond. While autonomy and ownership are held in high regard at Reverb, we are looking for passionate people managers to coach our next generation of leaders. We care deeply about fostering an environment that promotes learning and development, and you’ll play an instrumental role in implementing different tactics, strategies, and practices to grow our engineers as professionals and provide them with the right challenges to keep them engaged and motivated. To complement your people skills, you’re also confident in your knowledge and understanding of software development and technologies. We believe in a team-oriented approach that encourages managers to be actively involved in the engineering process: effectively leading technical discussions, helping to resolve technical disagreements, presenting and evaluating engineering trade-offs, and rolling up your sleeves to get your hands in the code, if the occasion calls for it.

Responsibilities:
Mentor and manage team members through regular 1-on-1s and continuous feedback to enhance performance and encourage career growth.
