Consultant - Student Success, Senior Associate

The Consultant (also known as a Strategic Leader) is the primary relationship manager and consultant for our university and community college clients, playing the lead role in managing our Student Success Technology project timelines, consulting on workflow integration across each school within the University/College and ensuring clients see value in our technology. In addition to partnering with senior academic leaders (including but not limited to Provosts and Vice Provosts) to implement our student success technology platform, the consultant will work with academic advising and other support departments to drive depth and breadth of use of the platform, leverage analytics to identify new areas of opportunity and work with senior academic leaders to identify and overcome systemic obstacles to student retention and graduation success. The EAB Technology division to committed to a diverse and inclusive community, and we are looking for individuals excited to contribute to this community and who bring experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

The academic counseling, legal support, financial aid resources, and extensive campus referral network provided by USP helps students develop the unique gifts and talents they each bring to the university, while empowering a sense of belonging. The program's mission is to support the advancement of undocumented students within higher education and promote pathways for engaged scholarship.

The USP Academic Counselor is responsible for providing individualized services to students who are underrepresented, low income, first generation college, underserved students, undocumented AB 540, and/or otherwise at a higher risk of experiencing academic difficulty, to help students succeed. Services may include academic needs assessment, developing individual study plans, recognizing and addressing academic and non-academic barriers to academic success, and counseling on other aspects that may affect student retention and academic success. Includes specializations in particular underrepresented groups, particular academic skills (e.g., research skills, preparation for graduate programs), or success in particular academic programs.

University Health Services (UHS) located at the Tang Center, serves the UC Berkeley campus by providing fully accredited primary and urgent medical care, sports medicine, mental health, innovative health promotion and health insurance services to students, as well as a variety of faculty and staff health programs and services. UHS employs over 300 career and contract staff. CAPS is a highly utilized, comprehensive, student counseling service that assists students with a wide range of concerns, including academic success, life management, career and life planning, crisis management, and emotional and psychiatric illness.
