Gender-Affirming Surgeon (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery)
Henry Ford Health
Henry Ford Health in Detroit, Michigan seeks to hire a fellowship-trained surgeon with training in top surgery, genital gender affirming surgery, and microvascular surgery. Over the past two years, our gender affirming surgery program has expanded rapidly.

Here are some milestones regarding our program:
We have successfully started a robotic vaginoplasty program for both primary and revision cases, and have over 200 patients preparing to undergo these procedures
Top surgery is performed multiple times weekly and volume is increasing.
A dedicated nurse navigator for gender affirming surgical services anchors our program and is responsible for coordinating care between service lines as well as regional outreach.
Our catchment area includes all of southeast Michigan and we have a high volume of referrals from across the Midwest and Canada.
We have a robust referral base from gender affirming primary care and endocrinology providers, as well as community organizations, and have well-established support infrastructure from behavioral health, pelvic floor physical therapy, and other services.

Our health system is embarking on a major expansion in the heart of Detroit with a new hospital building and operating facilities. During this time of growth, our program is also on track to achievements such as creation of a comprehensive center for gender affirming care, hiring of additional support/administrative personnel, and access to operative block time.

The candidate would be joining a robust, growing practice. Offering microvascular free flap phalloplasty is a goal for our program and the ideal candidate would develop this procedure in conjunction with our fellowship trained reconstructive urologists.

Please apply at the link above or contact us for more information.

Physician Plastic Surgery
Kaiser Permanente
The department consists of 6 plastic surgeons that support a large multi-specialty healthcare organization with a practice that features a broad spectrum of reconstructive surgery. We are most interested in candidates with proficiency in gender affirmation and breast surgery. There will be satisfying opportunities for candidates with interest and/or experience in microsurgery and cleft care. There may also be the opportunity to develop other areas of subspecialty interest. The department values cohesiveness and cooperation among its members, so collegiality will be an essential trait for a successful candidate. This is an opportunity for a talented and motivated surgeon to establish a satisfying career that genuinely enables a healthy work-life balance.
