Calibration Lab Manager
Ellab
Duties & responsibilities: -
• Daily management in Calibration of Environmental Monitoring systems, including jobs and staff.
• Maintain live schedule of jobs.
• Carry out Standard & UKAS calibration of production and customers equipment.
• Maintain the UKAs accreditation, working closely with the Quality department,
• UKAs technical lead in Temperature and Humidity
• Expand current UKAs temperature and Humidity ranges
• Develop further UKAs accreditation in gas, speed and weight calibrations.
• Work with other sites in the group supporting UKAs requirements.
• Clearly document calibration procedures.
• Maintain calibration equipment, and keep detailed records of performance.
• Report, via appropriate channels, any recurring product issues in order to facilitate product development and improvement.
• Ensure any deficiencies in product performance or documentation is brought to the attention of the relevant personnel.
• Ensure all quality assurance issues are reported to the relevant personnel.
• Attend appropriate training courses as requested.
• Participate actively in the company appraisal system, and carry out staff appraisals.
• Comply with all statutory Health and Safety regulations and any company policies.

Knowledge, skills & experience required (Essential): -
• Organised and methodical approach to working.
• Understanding of ISO17025 and other quality standards
• Professional appearance and demeanour in front of clients.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Offer our customers a high level of customer care and be courteous at all times.
• HNC or equivalent qualification, ( or experience)
• A good knowledge and understanding of common computer operating systems.

Knowledge, skills & experience required (Desirable): -
• UKAS trained in Temperature and humidity system calibration
Personal Skills: -
• Full driving licence
Working hours:
• Standard 37.5 hour week,
Validation Engineer
Ellab Ireland Limited
Ellab Ireland are currently recruiting Validation Specialists and Engineers, with all levels of experience, from science and engineering backgrounds. Candidates will have the opportunity to work across all major pharmaceutical sites including MSD, Regeneron, Pfizer…

Full or supplemental training will be provided on all equipment and thermal mapping services via our Ellab Academy.

Responsibilities:

• Set up of Ellab equipment.
• Author, review, approve and execute validation documentation including protocols, summary reports, procedures, other lifecycle documents.
• Performing temperature mapping and validation of equipment such as autoclaves, fridges, freezers, incubators, stability cabinets in a sterile manufacturing environment.
• Analyse and interpret data from qualification studies and determine if it meets acceptance criteria.
• Troubleshooting customer and Ellab equipment.
• Reading P&ID’s effectively and following SOP’s.

Experience/Requirements:

• 3rd Level Qual within Engineering/Pharmaceutical Science or similar.
• 0-3 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of GMP.
• An interest in developing a career within validation industry.
• Be able to work on your own initiative.
• Attention to detail with a common-sense approach to problem solving.
• Must be willing to travel across the Island of Ireland.
