Well established Manufacturing plant in Northwest Fresno is seeking an Buyer to support manufacturing operations. The successful applicant will perform the following :
Ability to source and persuasively negotiate with Suppliers to obtain optimum pricing and delivery.
Create and manage purchase orders.
Provide critical information and updates to Management.
Maintain follow-up responsibility to ensure commitment dates are held.
Work with Receiving, Quality, Engineering and Accounting to resolve discrepancies and issues.
Analyze complex data, identify and pursue savings opportunities
Requirements:
· Associate’s degree or Purchasing/Supply Chain Management certification from accredited college or equivalent combination of experience and acquired skills.
· 3-5 years purchasing experience in manufacturing environment. Familiar with electrical 12 VDC controls. is a plus and work experience in hydraulic environment.
· Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of Microsoft Office and strong Excel experience.
· Strong communication skills.
· Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
