About Speechly:
Speechly is the fast, simple and accurate voice UI API that is optimized for efficient UI task completion. It is designed to work alongside other UI modalities such as touch and visual especially in the context of web, mobile, and e-commerce applications.
The Speechly API enables product teams and developers to add voice as a feature to any existing website or ecommerce experience. The idea is not to substitute an existing GUI with voice but rather to complement/augment it along the parts of the user journey that would otherwise be tedious. These include tasks such as searching and inputting complex information.
Speechly API brings efficiency to the table with a basic UI pattern that is characterised by “voice input in” and “real-time visual feedback out”. This enables a full duplex, fast and reactive UI feedback loop in contrast to the voice-only, half-duplex and turn-based conversational experiences of the current day voice assistants.
About the role:
You have a solid web developer background but enjoy talking to other developers and getting them excited about the latest state-of-the-art dev tools. You feel at home in Hacker News, Stack Overflow, Github, Reddit, local tech meet-ups and also like presenting to people.
You will be our first developer advocate setting up the function and responsible for:
- Building inspirational demos and content
- Participating in client discussions and events
- Providing hands-on support to our developer community
- Contributing to our product development
- Planning and organizing developer events and activities
- Working with developer influencers
You will be a great candidate for this position if you have:
- Experience in developer advocacy or open source community engagement
- Substantial experience in web development
- Passionate about emerging technologies
- Passionate about writing and speaking to developer audiences
- Possibility and interest for travelling
- Fluent in English language
