DevOps Engineer
Remote - EPAM Systems, Inc. is looking for Cloud DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer for Google Cloud Platform Solution Practice team to work with EPAM strategic clients.
Together with the team, you will support clients’ implementation of GCP products through architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, capacity planning, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more.
As a Cloud DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer, you will assist the clients with the configuration and deployment of their GCP infrastructure, which include but not limited to the following services: identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging and monitoring, billing.
You will provide the clients with the guidance on how to design their cloud applications for optimal scaling, including CDN design, load balancer setup, caching, compute optimizations, continuous integration and delivery pipeline, and others.
You will travel to the clients’ sites to deploy solutions, and deliver the workshops to educate and enrich clients’ knowledge.

About The team

The team is responsible for building and evolving Scribd’s content and metadata ingestion systems, publisher payout (royalties) pipelines, and the tools that enable our Content Operations team to manage the availability and quality of our large corpus of premium content. Our team has a variety of exciting challenges to tackle over the coming months and years. We continue to evolve and scale our content platform to enable Scribd’s continued focus on providing our customers a rich catalog of content and innovating how users discover and consume what’s most interesting and relevant for them.

The Role

You’ll have the opportunity to work with an awesome and diverse team using various technologies while contributing to extending and modernizing our existing systems. Here’s a quick look at some of what you’ll participate in the day-to-day:

- Design and deliver high quality extensible and well-tested code
- Participate in product kick-offs, system design reviews, and code reviews
- Engage in the team’s scrum ceremonies such as standups, grooming sessions, and retros
- Collaborate with fellow team members and stakeholders to tackle challenging problems.
- Help identify gaps and improve the team’s instrumentation and monitoring of critical systems.

Software Engineer- Content Understanding
The Content Understanding team's mission is to provide accurate and up-to-date metadata about Scribd's content as a means towards enabling better product experiences for Scribd users.

The work includes:

• Building and maintaining metadata extraction pipelines, document metadata storage, and APIs that expose metadata to other Scribd systems.
• Analyzing uploaded documents for copyright infringement, spam, and other quality checks.
• Building and maintaining systems that link documents to Scribd’s taxonomy and other classification systems.
