Reporting to the Property Manager, the Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting the Property Manager primarily in the areas of administration and technical support in accordance with the council’s policies and standards. She/he will work closely with Property Managers, Regional staff, camp directors, and volunteers to ensure that property infrastructure and mechanical machinery is properly functioning and meets the needs of guests so they can experience a successful camping experience.

Camp Property Maintenance Assistant

Characteristic, Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair and replace program equipment to support Girl Scout program at camps
Clean and maintain buildings and equipment
Assist with landscaping of grounds and maintenance of equipment
Technical repair of property equipment as needed at repair person level
Assist Property Manager in onsite projects as assigned
Perform other duties as required or assigned

Camp Directors - Three are needed

At Leadership Academy, we believe that outdoor play and exploration increases creativity, confidence, social intelligence and grit. We operate summer camps that get children outside to play, connects them to nature, teaches recreation skills to develop a love and affinity for the outdoors. We are hiring three seasonal directors to manage our summer camps in Nashville, TN.
Camp Directors run the the camp and will lead, supervise and manage the daily operations of the day camp including camper and staff supervision, customer service, program, business and risk management at a specific summer camp; Camp Warner Park, Nashville Sail Camp, Camp Bells Bend Beaman, and Camp Two Rivers. Each camp has a unique program that requires a Director with passion and experience in that area. See our main website for camp descriptions.
Camp directors work remotely in the spring and will be required on site beginning May 24. We require a commitment to the entirety of the camp season.
Flexible ends dates are available after July 31 (availability to work through August 30th, dependent on work demand.) Part time and remote year round work available after camp season.

Assistant Director

Spring Instructor (seasonal Feb - May - Special Needs camp)

We are a Special Needs camp that typically operates as a Partner-Model. We have been hosting family retreats since September and will continue this winter/spring! These are usually Fri - Sun, but some are mid-week or single day events with our partner groups.
Instructors are our activity leaders. Some activities (training provided) include: Canoeing, Climbing Tower/Zip, Horses, Nature/Barnyard, Archery, Sports/Wheelchair Sports, Teambuilding Games, and more (as we learn how to adapt what we do for families in the Covid-era).
This is a residential position, with housing provided all the time and meals provided when we have campers/families on site. There is a kitchen available to instructors. The schedule for now is about two weekends per month, and we hope for more! There is decent wi-fi on campus, so some instructors work a 2nd job online or in town. Some instructors are college students who are 100% remote learning. It's nice to have a camp experience during Covid, but also be free to work outside of camp to pay the bills or be in school.
