Job Description:
Full-time role on the bipartisan, statewide effort to pass a constitutional amendment for victims’ rights into the Iowa State Constitution.

Duties and responsibilities:
The ideal candidate would excel at the following duties and responsibilities:
•To effectively represent Marsy’s Law for Iowa throughout the state
•To educate key Iowa stakeholders on the rights Marsy’s Law for Iowa would grant to victims of crime
•To build our grassroots network in Iowa including: community leaders, coalition groups, volunteers, supporters, interns
•To build events and meetings that identify supporters and build our network
•To attend relevant events and network with regional stakeholders
•To elevate the conversation on crime victims’ rights in Iowa

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in politics, political science, public policy, communications, or other related field OR equivalent work experience
•Public speaking skills
•Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with grassroots community members
•Team player who can work well with others
•Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends
•Demonstrated ability to manage individual schedule with personal autonomy
•Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
•Strong literacy in apple Macintosh processing systems
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and current social media platforms
•Excellent demonstrated written and oral communication skills
•Demonstrated ability to work effectively with volunteers and coalition allies
•Comfortability working in the field directly with grassroots leaders
•Access to reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required
•Ability to travel throughout the state
•Ability to work legally in the United States
•Previous campaign experience a plus
•A strong commitment to and interest in victims’ rights
