Youth Mentors are required to participate in ongoing professional development and planning sessions with the Summer Camp Site Director/Program Coordinator on a scheduled basis.

Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the Family Services Director is responsible... for the administration of Family Services programs including Afterschool, Teens, and assist with Day Camp. This position is also responsible for research, development and implementation of additional programs and services to serve the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Program Development & Management: • Management of Licensed Before/Afterschool, Teen Programs and assist with Camp including planning for growth of program areas. • Research, development and implementation of additional family services programs and services. • Overall responsibility for producing quality program experiences and day-to-day management of assigned program areas, associated staff (full-time and part-time) and branch transportation program. • Development of departmental budgets including revenue generation and expenditure management. • Recruit, hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff for assigned program areas. • Run all program areas in accordance with YMCA Quality Standards. Ensure that program standards and quality guidelines are met or exceeded. • Market & promote all programs and community-based events with emphasis on program quality and growth. • Ensure Afterschool and Day Camp programs consistently meet NC Childcare Licensing Requirements and Association Quality Standards. • Ensure that all requirements, certifications, policies and procedures required for licensing are met and followed. • Meet all program enrollment goals including timely collection process of all fees. • Support and participate in all aspects of the Member Connection Plan as well as the Association’s strategic goals. • Maintain adequate records to evaluate, control, and measure the effectiveness of assigned areas of responsibility. • Uphold current facility maintenance standards in all major areas of responsibility.
