CTE Pathways Coach

The Colorado River BOCES is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated CTE Pathways Coach to lead and support the development, implementation, and coordination of the CRBOCES’ Career Technical Education (CTE) “EPIC” programs. The Pathways Coach will work closely with the CRBOCES EPIC Director and will be responsible for establishing a strong CTE student and staff culture, providing leadership for all programmatic and curricular decisions regarding CTE programs, and serving as an industry liaison for related industry fields. The position is funded annually based upon the Garfield County Commissioners’ Budget approval. Preference is given to candidates eligible to obtain a CO Teacher’s License with a CTE endorsement or a Master’s degree in Education.

YewFlow Junior Bike Coaching Internships

We are hiring a small team of Junior Coaches this summer to assist the coaching staff at YewFlow summer camps and attend occasional field trips to regional riding destinations. As a Junior bike coach, you will gain work experience, leadership opportunities, and a chance to learn about yourself in a leadership role. The program begins with 60 hours of volunteer coaching (roughly 9 days of work) and select riders will be able to continue on as a paid Junior Coach.

Your responsibilities will be to assist the lead coach during YewFlow summer camps. We have two levels, depending upon your experience at time of hire:

Junior Mentors:
Avid riders in middle school or high school looking for leadership opportunities, fun times, and a few perks that come with the job!
60 volunteer coaching hours minimum commitment (roughly 3 weeks of summer camp on wed, thurs, friday)
Compensation: this is a volunteer role to gain work experience and learning opportunities. Jr. Mentors can “graduate” to paid positions
Additional Benefits: YewFlow team jersey and special invites to field trips to Woodward and other destinations when space allows
Riders who have participated in YewFlow camps or events in the past will be strongly considered first but any young rider is welcome to apply

Junior Coach:
Avid riders in age 14-20 who are stoked on bikes and are seeking summer work in a fun environment
Must complete the 60 hour Jr. Mentor program or have previous work experience as a coach
Commitment: ideal candidates for the Junior Coach position are able to commit to regular wed/thurs/friday schedule throughout the summer camp season June 5-August 8, 2024.
Compensation: $15-20/hour depending upon experience

Educational Perk: YewFlow will occasionally pay for one Junior Coach a year to attend wilderness first aid trainings or PIMBA mtb coach

YewFlow summer bike coach and camp counselor

We would like to hire 1-3 individuals to join the YewFlow family as a bike coach. You responsibilities will be to help us run our summer camp program and bring good vibes and stoke to the team! On occasion you will be asked to help facilitate field trips to regional riding destinations in Western Colorado. Yes, that means you might be getting paid to jump on a trampoline at Woodward Copper Adventure Sports Center!! Your primary job will be coaching and wrangling kids age 5-14 at our YewFlow Summer Camps, with each week being slightly different scenery and focus. We will be fitting coaches to camp groups based upon experience and riding ability levels. These positions are Part Time Seasonal and they come with many opportunities to grow with us.

Job Period:

Work Days/Times - Wed, Thurs, Friday 8:30-4pm

We are looking for a mountain bike instructor that will assist with the planning and execution of mountain bike programs, will supervise participants and ensure their safety and well-being.

Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:

Participate in pre-season staff orientation/training program. Attend staff meetings and in-service training. Organize and lead special activities, enrichment and bike programs, and other recreational activities.

Leads or Co-lead an activity group of up to 6 campers through MTB rides/instruction.

Submit lesson plans/ideas and supply requests to the Program Coordinator or Lead MTBInstructor

Work in cooperation with all staff to create fun, exciting programs for participants of alleges

Communicate to parents any necessary information that they would need, such as times and proper equipment needed, etc. Relay information, skills and lesson recap to parents.

We are looking for a softball umpire that will officiate specific recreation programs. This position is expected to work independently to officiate, facilitate or coordinate events, classes and programs.

Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:

Enforce and communicate rules to all participants, make accurate calls to promote a safe playing environment and adequate rate-of-play

Resolve conflicts amongst participants in an appropriate manner, especially in intense game situations

Oversee official time of program

Keep accurate time, tracks, and report scores and game results

Assist with set-up and take-down of necessary sports equipment before and after games

Report scores, conflicts, disciplinary measures and facility or equipment issues to Program Coordinator

Provides general supervision over recreation programs while officiating or refereeing games
