Sustainable food retail: delivering shareholder value

Reduta Banku Polskiego, Warszawa

June 3 - 4, 2019

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is organising its first business forum of major food retail companies in Europe, Asia and North Africa on Tuesday, 4th June 2019, in Warsaw. “Sustainable food retail: delivering shareholder value” is a networking event for CEOs and representatives of international, local and online retail chains to exchange views and hear from experts on sustainability, digital technologies and marketing. The event will discuss how changing customer preferences, climate change and socio-economic considerations influence operations and the retailers’ relationships with their suppliers and consumers. It will also make the link between operating in this new environment in a professionally and socially responsible manner and creating long-term value for its shareholders.

The forum will explore:

  • Leading insights on the prevailing sustainability issues for retailers in the region
  • The investor perspective on retail investment in a changing climate
  • Changing customer priorities; site operations; and supply chain management
  • Structured and informal business network sessions.

This event is supported by the TaiwanBusiness–EBRD Cooperation Fund.
