Location: San Diego, CA (On-Site, with Remote Fridays)

Whova is looking for a sharp, reliable Associate Project Manager to help bring new products and features to life. You’ll work directly with experienced Product Managers, Engineers, and QA teams, learning how to lead projects from start to finish—while keeping scope, timelines, and deliverables on track.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who thrives on structure, takes ownership seriously, and isn’t afraid to ask questions, step up, and grow fast.

Whova revolutionizes event engagement and attendee networking by providing the Whova mobile app and event management software for conferences and trade shows globally every day.

Whova is a fast-growing company with brand-name customers, including US-Bank, Stanford, L’Oreal, Hilton, LEGO, Vetafore, NASA, IKEA, TEDx, etc. We are proud to receive the San Diego Business Journal’s Best Places to Work in San Diego award, 5 years in a row. We also won the Fastest Growing Private Companies award for 3 years. More recently, we won Event Technology Awards’ Best Product Team Award, and Global Top Rated Product Award. Currently, we are named as G2’s Global Top 50 Best Software.

What You’ll Do
  • Help plan, track, and manage software development projects.
  • Work with internal teams to align goals, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Own task coordination, status updates, and documentation.
  • Flag roadblocks early and help drive solutions forward.
  • Keep projects moving and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Learn to identify scope, risks, and resource needs alongside experienced mentors.

What Makes You a Good Fit
  • You’re highly organized, and people trust you to follow through.
  • You don’t wait to be told what to do—you take initiative.
  • You’re thoughtful, detail-oriented, and never let things get sloppy.
  • You’re comfortable with structure, checklists, and keeping others on task.
  • You own your mistakes and work to fix them fast.
  • You’re eager to learn how great teams deliver great software.

Who Thrives in This Role
  • High-Standard Enforcers: People who hold themselves—and others—to a high bar. They don’t accept vague excuses and prioritize results as the most important thing.
  • Process-Driven Executors: Quietly meticulous, highly organized professionals who make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
If you see yourself in either group, you might be a fit.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cognitive Science, HCI, Computer Science, or related fields in science or engineering.
  • 0–2 years of project management or coordination experience (internships count!).
  • Familiarity with Agile concepts, project timelines, and collaboration tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A calm, reliable presence—even when things get busy.
  • A genuine interest in tech, product development, and team execution.

Why Start Your Career at Whova?
  • Salary: $50K–$60K, based on experience.
  • Full health benefits (medical, dental, vision).
  • 401(k) after 6 months.
  • 18 paid days off per year (plus holidays).
  • Remote work every Friday.
  • Free in-office gym.
  • Two company-provided lunches and Bagel Wednesdays!
  • Learn directly from experienced product and engineering leads.
  • Work on award-winning software used by global brands like NASA, IKEA, L’Oreal, and TEDx.
  • Build your skills in a no-fluff, supportive team that values results and accountability.
