Data Specialist

Whova is looking for a full-time Data Specialist to join our data team! In this role. you’ll analyze product usage and conduct in-depth feature use case studies to provide insights that will help us improve our product. As a Data Specialist, you’ll collaborate closely with product managers and our data analysts.

Whova revolutionizes event engagement and attendee networking by providing the Whova mobile app and event management software for conferences and trade shows globally every day.

• Design, plan and conduct studies on product features to uncover insights into user behavior and how they use the features
• Synthesize findings into clear, concise reports and presentations to stakeholders
• Provide actionable insights that can help inform product decisions
• Work closely with data and product teams to identify opportunities for new features and/or enhancements
• Generate user insights for existing features and communicate them effectively

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Cognitive Science, Engineering or another data/research-centric field or equivalent practical experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling and presentation skills
• Strong research, analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment
• Positive attitude and a “can-do” mindset!
• Familiarity with SQL or Python is a plus

• Salary: $50k – $55k per year (based on experience)
