Connect With iMIS and Create Secure Member-Only Tickets
Setting up a member-only ticket is quick and straightforward with Whova’s new iMIS Integration. In just four simple steps, you can create exclusive tickets that only verified members can purchase:
1. After creating your ticket(s), go to “Member & Invite-Only Ticketing.” Select “Add restrictions” for the ticket you want to limit.
2. Select the option to “Restrict to specific membership levels and statuses.”

Restricting member-only tickets with the new iMIS Integration is simple.
3. Select the option to connect to iMIS. Follow the instructions to connect and sign in to your iMIS account. This allows Whova to verify whether attendees have the correct member status based on their Member ID.
4. Customize your ticket restrictions. Selecting which membership levels and statuses can buy the ticket. For example, if your association offers Associate, Full, and Premium memberships, you can restrict the ticket to Premium members only, and even limit it to those with an Active status (as opposed to Lapsed or Pending).

You can easily add restrictions to multiple ticket types through the iMIS integration. For instance, if you offer separate Student, Standard, and Premium tickets, you can tailor the restrictions for each one directly through your iMIS account—no need to manually upload your attendee list or cross-check memberships.
How Do Members Register for Member-Only Tickets?
For your attendees, the process is just as seamless. When a member selects a restricted ticket on your event registration page, they’ll be prompted to enter their Member ID before purchasing.
Whova will then automatically verify their membership through your iMIS database in real time, ensuring that only verified members that meet your criteria can complete the purchase.
If a member wants to purchase more than one member-only ticket, they’ll simply need to enter a unique Member ID for each ticket. This keeps your system secure and ensures every ticket is tied to an individual verified member—protecting access to member-exclusive rates or perks.
