We have top 50 osteosarcoma specialists speaking / attending at the conference. We also have over 50 patient families attending, along with other non-profits involved with osteosarcoma.

AgendaIt is planned to have inter-disciplinary discussions [involving pathologists, surgeons, geneticists, oncologists, radiologists] on the causes of osteosarcoma, innovative models and treatment approaches that are in progress or planned, with a final session on the road ahead, and novel solutions to meet challenges and improve outcomes. While most of the main sessions are of deep interest to patients and their families, there will also be several breakaway sessions on social issues and counselling for patients, AYA groups and bereaved parents.

Bio: I am a childhood cancer epidemiologist with a strong interest in understanding why osteosarcoma develops in the young. Along the way I realized we know very little about why it develops in older adults, and we might learn a lot about osteosarcoma by comparing casesat both ends of life. Hence I've started the Biology of Osteosarcoma (BOOST) registry and biobank, open to patients of all ages and their families, to accelerate research into this rare but devastating disease.
