Allen Jacoby

Vice President, Plastics Additives, Milliken & Company

Bio: Allen Jacoby became the Polymer Additives Vice President in 2013. In his current role he is responsible for all aspects of the global organization and P&L. He started his career at Milliken in 2002, as a Strategist in the Performance Materials Division. In 2004 he assumed the Marketing Director position for the MaxCell business. In 2009, he became the Business manager for the Building & Infrastructure business.

Alessandra Bosco

Director, Business Development, INglass Spa

Bio: Alessandra Bosco is Director of Global Business Development at INglass SpA, Mother Company and brand owner of ERMO Plastic Injection Moulds, and HRSflow Hot Runner Systems Division. She began her career at Corporate Level in 1993 in the International Sales Department taking care of Key Account Customers with a global footprint.

Ben Brashears

Blaige & Company, Senior Executive Advisor

Bio: Ben has over 40 years of experience in the plastics, packaging, and chemicals markets, including a long history with P&O Packaging. He most recently served as the President, CEO, and Director for P&O, a leading producer of co-extruded converter and protective packaging film, located in Dalton, Georgia. Ben acquired P&O Packaging with the backing of Pinecrest Capital in 1998 and subsequently sold it to Viapack, Inc. in 2007, a portfolio company of Red Diamond Capital (an affiliate of Mitsubishi International). During his ownership of P&O, Ben achieved 10 years of consecutive top line growth and more than doubled profitability. Blaige & Company advised Pinecrest Capital and P&O on the sale to Red Diamond Capital. Previously, Ben served as founder and partner of Engineered Films Corporation, which he sold in the late 1980’s to Atlantis Plastics, a portfolio company of Trivest Partners. Prior to Engineered Films Corporation, he spent approximately 20 years with Dow Chemical Company in materials technology, process engineering, and marketing. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Texas Tech University.

Chris Ellen

Vice President, Sales, BioAmber Canada, Inc.

Bio: Education: B.Sc. Double major Chemistry and Environmental Science from Western University (London, Ontario) Experience: 20+ years in technical support, sales, and marketing for specialty chemicals mostly related to metal, rubber, and plastic surface coatings, forming and cutting.

Gary Hemphill

Managing Director, Beverage Marketing Corporation

Bio: Gary A. Hemphill is Managing Director and COO, Research at Beverage Marketing Corporation. In that role, he directs the company’s extensive information products and services, consisting of comprehensive North American beverage databases, Market Reports, Directories, State Tracking Services and customized information consulting projects.

Iacopo Bianconcini

Area & Marketing Manager, Sacmi Imola

Bio: Mr. Iacopo Bianconcini joined SACMI Group in Imola, Italy, 16 years ago. He graduated in Management Engineering at Greenwich University in London and Master Educated in Key Account Management and Marketing at SDA Bocconi of Milan and Columbia University of NY. As a Manager in SACMI Imola Headquarter, he is directly responsible for worldwide marketing activities within the Packaging Division, which is grouping both the Beverage and Closures&Containers Business Units. His former experience as Sales Area Manager and Key Account Manager within the Closures&Containers Division is a valuable and helpful background for his present role. He is married and father of a 3 years old little boy, who seems to actively follow his father interests in motorbikes and more generally on everything that moves on wheels and wings!

Jeremy Stone

Managing Director, Sun Capital Partners, Inc.

Bio: Jeremy Stone, Managing Director, has over a decade of leveraged buyout and mergers and acquisitions experience. Mr. Stone joined Sun Capital Partners in 2005 and specializes in the general industrial, building products, chemicals and packaging groups. He has completed numerous transactions in the packaging industry and currently works with Sun Capital Partners, Inc.’s global packaging platform, Coveris. Previously, Mr. Stone worked for Duff & Phelps on investment banking transactions, including mergers and acquisitions advisory, fairness and solvency opinions, and business valuations.

Jim Sykes

President & Chief Executive Officer, Amaray

Bio: Jim Sykes is President and CEO of Amaray, a world leader and innovator in rigid plastic packaging. Amaray maintains deep roots and dominant market share in Media related applications and has significantly diversified in recent years by providing multi-national injection molded solutions to other industries requiring high volume, highly automated, plastic manufacturing services.

John Maddox

President, SBAcci

Bio: John C. Maddox is President of SBAcci and focuses on supply/demand, end-use demand and commercial issues for PET resin/packaging. John’s entire 34-year professional career has been in the PET industry – from resin producer, to container manufacturer, to consulting. SBAcci is supported by dedicated associates in recycling, technology and feedstocks to support the NAFTA programs.

K. H. Chiang

Sales Director, Tech-Long Americas

Bio: KH Chiang graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1986. Since then he has been working in China with Industry leading plastic and packaging companies for more than 30 years. He was once area manager for Husky Injection Molding Systems and worked many years as Sales Director for Zhuhai Zhongfu – a prominent company in packaging container manufacturing. KH also has many years of working experience in the beverage co-packing business in Asia Pacific.

Karl Swanson

VP Global Sales, ebeam Technologies

Bio: Karl Swanson is ebeam Technologies’ Vice President of Global Sales, and is a frequent speaker and author on ebeam technology and its impact in specific industries.

Keith Boss

Chief Executive Officer, Tech-Long, Inc.

Bio: Keith Boss – CEO of Tech-Long Americas has been working in the Industry since 1987 starting with Husky Injection Molding Systems where he spent more than 20 years holding numerous Senior Management positions. In 2008 he joined Sidel running their North American operation until mid 2014. In January 2015 he joined Tech-Long the leading Asia Pacific Packaging Equipment supplier as Chief Executive Officer for the Americas.

Lamy Chopin

Global Development Leader, Dow Chemical Company

Bio: Lamy Chopin is a global development leader for Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics (P&SP). Lamy is responsible for leading the development of packaging solutions focused on utilizing Dow technologies in innovative ways. He is responsible for the global PacXpert development team and he leads the development of sustainable package designs for North America.

Larry Logan

Chief Marketing Officer, Digimarc Corporation

Bio: Larry Logan enjoys more than 30 years’ success in marketing and creativity, repeatedly developing brands that become the industry leaders in their respective markets – and, a long history with developing and marketing disruptive technologies.

Michael Okoroafor

Vice President, Global Sustainability & Packaging Innovation, McCormick & Company

Bio: Michael Okoroafor is currently the Vice President, Global Sustainability and Packaging Innovation. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic direction, policies, development and execution of agricultural, ingredient, product and packaging sustainability, as well as packaging innovation capabilities globally. Prior to this role, he was VP, Global Packaging Innovation. He was responsible for creating an aligned global packaging function focused on execution of new platforms that drove both innovation and efficiency goals across all business units, and highlighting the importance of packaging as critical lever for growth. Most of this work culminated in McCormick being named as transformational company of the year by Packaging World.

Mike Krebsbach

Vice President, Marketing, Bemis Company, Inc.

Bio: Mike is a leader with over 20 years of successful experience in brand building, innovation and P&L management. In his current role as vice president of marketing, Mike oversees all aspects of marketing for Bemis North America, including business intelligence, customer engagement and innovation, and marketing communications. Mike’s role is a catalyst to deliver long-term, profitable growth and process excellence. Mike began working for Bemis in 2015, following marketing roles at Kraft and Kimberly Clark. In his work at Bemis, he is able to leverage customer and category insights to ensure robust opportunities for customer growth, identify emerging channel opportunities, and build plans and capabilities to address them. Mike holds a master’s degree in marketing, and has been honored with an Effie Gold, Reggie Gold, and Kalypso Student of Innovation awards.

Mike Urquhart

Bio: Mike worked for Husky Injection Molding for 33 year before retiring in 2014, holding various positions including VP Mold Operations, VP machine Operations and VP Sales. Since 2014 Mike has been consulting in the plastics industry providing sales and marketing assistance.

Ross Perry

General Manager, Beverage Packaging Sales - North America, Husky Injection Molding Systems

Bio: Ross Perry is the General Manager, Beverage Packaging Sales – North America, at Husky Injection Molding Systems, responsible for ensuring North America’s beverage packaging market is well served by Husky. With a professional background in engineering and business, Ross has held various roles of progressive responsibility since joining Husky in 1997, including both marketing and sales in the Americas and Asia-Pacific. Ross holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Maine, and a Master of Science degree (Business) from Husson University.

Steve Ates

Managing Director, SBAcci

Bio: Steve is Managing Director of SBAcci focusing on the group’s global polyester raw material and polyester polymer models. SBAcci is a consulting firm specializing in the global polyester value stream from aromatic feedstocks through rigid PET packaging. The company also provides custom single client work in the areas of cost modeling, polyester recycling, M&A activity, and specialty polymers.

Bio: Ted Harris is currently the Market Development Manager for Total Petrochemicals and Refining USA, Inc. (TPRI), and will celebrate his 25th anniversary with the company in 2017.

Tom Blaige

Chaiman & Chief Executive Officer, Blaige & Company

Bio: Tom established Blaige & Company, an international investment banking firm dedicated exclusively to the plastics, packaging and chemicals industries a decade ago.  He has 30 years of transaction experience; he and his team of transaction and operations experts have completed over 200 transactions and visited over 400 plastics packaging, and chemicals operations in over 40 countries.

Dan Abramowicz


Bio: Dan Abramowicz is Crown’s Chief Technology Officer with global responsibility for innovation and technology development across Crown’s business platforms. These efforts include new product design, new process development, product and process improvements, material developments, engineering, process monitoring, database development and cost reductions across the breadth of Crown’s packaging products (food cans and ends; beverage cans and ends; aerosol containers; metal vacuum closures; specialty packaging; and packaging equipment). In addition, Dr. Abramowicz heads Crown’s Environment, Health and Safety Organization and Crown’s Sustainability Initiative.
