Exhibitors are crucial to successful events and tradeshows, driving value, not only for themselves, but also for the event organizers who host them. For exhibitors, their ultimate goal is to maximize their return on investment (ROI) by collecting high-quality leads/contacts and increasing brand awareness. To achieve this, exhibitors need efficient tools that allow them to capture, categorize, and manage their leads effectively. Personalized follow-up is key to turning these leads into valuable business relationships. Customizable lead tags offer exhibitors a powerful way to segment and prioritize their prospects, ensuring more targeted and impactful post-event follow-ups.

Whova has long supported exhibitors with a robust suite of tools designed to maximize their event ROI. Features like the passport contest have increased booth traffic at thousands of events, while the virtual exhibitor booth allows exhibitors to showcase videos and brochures to attendees before and during events. exhibitor registration and booth selection streamline exhibitor management, and exhibitor outreach campaigns enable personalized marketing to potential leads.

Today, we’re excited to introduce the latest enhancement to the exhibitor portal: Lead Qualifier Tags. This enhancement empowers exhibitors to create custom tags that optimize their lead management process, allowing for more personalized, targeted and effective follow-ups.

What Are Lead Qualifier Tags?

Lead Qualifier Tags are labels that exhibitors can apply to leads they capture during events. These tags enable exhibitors to categorize and prioritize leads, ensuring that they can tailor their post-event outreach according to the needs and interests of each prospect.

Whether it’s tagging based on interest level, follow-up actions, or time sensitivity, Lead Qualifier Tags make it easier for exhibitors to manage their leads and focus on what matters most: turning connections into business opportunities.

How Custom Lead Qualifier Tags Drive Success

Whova’s Lead Qualifier Tags can now be customized in various ways to help exhibitors efficiently sort and follow up with leads. Some examples of tag categories include:

  • Interest Level Tagging: Create tags like “High Interest,” “Moderate Interest,” or “Low Interest” to prioritize which leads to follow up with first.
  • Product-Specific Tags: For exhibitors showcasing multiple products, tags like “Interested in Product A” or “Needs Product B Demo” ensure that outreach is relevant to each prospect’s needs.
  • Budget Authority: Tags such as “Budget Holder” or “Needs Approval” help sales teams target decision-makers.
  • Follow-up Actions: Streamline post-event tasks with tags like “Send White Paper,” “Schedule Demo,” or “Add to Newsletter.”
  • Time Sensitivity: Tags like “Immediate Follow-up” or “Long-term Prospect” help exhibitors manage outreach timing.
  • Swag Collectors: If attendees are only interested in free giveaways, tags like “Swag Only” can help exhibitors decide whether to focus on nurturing these leads or simply add them to newsletters.

These flexible tags give exhibitors the control they need to ensure a more organized, efficient follow-up process, leading to stronger post-event engagement and more meaningful business outcomes.
